Human supremacy by Colonial-Marine Human supremacy by Colonial-Marine
I may be the biggest SCI-FI nerd you may encounter here.

After watching shitloads of SCI-FI movies, playing shitloads of SCI-FI games (including StarCraft), reading sci-fi stuff, after reading how well our ACTUAL technology is advancing , I am not afraid to say that ....

WE ARE THE STRONGEST OF THE WHOLE UNIVERSE. NO DOUBTS POSSIBLE. I am a proud anthropocentric, and being born as a human is the biggest present I could ever have.

Sorry furries, wolfaboos, bronies... But, I love humanity, and I do NOT WANT to be a cat.

What I overly love about us :

-Despite our weak physical abilities, our remarkable intelligence allow us to overcome these weaknesses through technology.

-Feelings. Humanity is one of the rare race that can actually have FEELING and think about the CONSEQUENCES of an action.

-We're the only ones knowing what death is and that we're all going to die.

-We know what teamwork stands for.

-We always evolve, progress and our technology keeps getting better and better not with everyone though COUGH COUGH COUGH

-We're probably the only specie that left their natal planet to go to space.

-Our fighting doctrines are just the best ... I mean, seriously, compare a war happening between a tiger and a zebra, with OUR wars. We are organized, strategic, methodical. Regiments, divisions, tanks, generals ...

-That's just me, but I really like fuel-based machines

... Do I need to say more ?

HOORAH FOR OURSELVES !

Now that I am older wiser and more mature, I am going to make another serious non-biased attempt at this. :D (Get ready for a wall of text)

Here goes:

We are the strongest of the whole universe

There is honestly no way to know this for sure. We may be or we may not be. You state this as a fact but what if there is something more powerful? The size of the universe is huge. The fact that we exist and are as powerful as we are proves that there could just as well be another more powerful species out there. The cosmos are too big to dismiss this possibility. So in a way, until we find out I think that point is moot and biased. I will not deny that on this world, we are very powerful and have constructed weapons of immense destruction and precision. But on a universal scale we are truly pathetic. A powerful solar flare can easily fry us while we are still here. However, I cannot speak for what the future will bring, only the present and past.

Now onto your bullet points:

-Despite our weak physical abilities, our remarkable intelligence allow us to overcome these weaknesses through technology.

This is true, we are crafty and creative. Through science and technology we have managed to unlock some very fascinating facts about life. I doubt any animal on this world knows what a Higgsboson is. ;) (But then again, not every human does either.) Don't forget that despite our technological advancements, there are still societies out there that are stuck in the stone age. They do pretty fine. Which again shows human survivability. Our main problem is that we are a very divided species. I blame that on our immaturity as 200,000 years is young for a species. Homo erectus (don't laugh) has survived for far longer than us and they did just fine without technology. On the species age scale, humanity is that creepy genius kid who is very intelligent and creative while the cockroach is this really old guy because cockroaches have been around for ages. XD I think despite our achievements, nature cares only for survival. Insects have been around before dinosaurs and will continue to be around. Our attempts to exterminate them aren't always doing great.

-Feelings. Humanity is one of the rare race that can actually have FEELING and think about the CONSEQUENCES of an action.

It is hard to say how other animals feel. But social animals must certainly have some sort of ability to bond. Cats are solitary while dogs are pack animals and you will notice how much more loyal dogs are right? You know this yourself and I don't need to dwell much. Remember that dog that kept waiting for his owner to return? There was a story where a dog lay at his owner's grave until he died too. I know you said the "rare race" so dogs can fall into this too. ;) I think our closer cousins, the Great Apes show feelings in their own ways. They are highly social and Chimps show a variety of facial expressions and the fact that they have facial differences like humans shows how close they are to us. So it won't surprise me if their feelings aren't too different from ours. I saw this little chimp say "sorry" after throwing a plastic box at this huge chimp who got pissed off (lol) and it was cute to see him literally hug and pat the little chimp on the back while doing a big grin. It was so humanlike. :D But it's true and like my father said when it comes to animals - "you will never know what really goes in their mind" and truth be said, same can be said for humans. Despite our similarities, nobody thinks the same. Look at our own differences between us. :D

-We're the only ones knowing what death is and that we're all going to die.

This may or may not be true. We will never know how animals think. Remember when we talked about Dolphins and their languages? Dolphins are very intelligent and they no doubt witnessed death and it won't surprise me if they have a word for it now. If they do, it could be a very simple understanding of it. Humans know the process of it and how to try to revive people quickly if it's not too severe or late. That is a great achievement for humanity. If your bullet point means that as kids we already know about death then that is true whole most animals know that "something" should be coming once they are too ill. Elephants seek out graveyards and most animals go seek out a quiet place to die. We won't know for sure if they know what to expect or they just want to be left alone? Can't speak for dolphins though as I explained in this paragraph. :D

-We know what teamwork stands for.

All pack and social animals know what teamwork stands for. I have watched some amazing co-operations from animals and humans alike when it comes to teamwork. Humans and dogs would be the few interspecies teamworks in this world that I know of. Like a symbiotic relationship where both gain from eachother instead of a parasitic one where one feeds of the other.

-We always evolve, progress and our technology keeps getting better and better not with everyone though COUGH COUGH COUGH

Everything always evolves and progresses. The Earth has 4 billion years of history worth of evolution and progress and it's no stopping there.

-We're probably the only specie that left their natal planet to go to space.

It's good that you said "probably" and right now that's not the case because thanks to us, chimps, dogs, tardigrades have all visited space. :D

-Our fighting doctrines are just the best ... I mean, seriously, compare a war happening between a tiger and a zebra, with OUR wars. We are organized, strategic, methodical. Regiments, divisions, tanks, generals ...

You have to define philosophically what you mean by "the best" because other animals are just as good as they need to be in their natural environments. All pack hunters co-ordinate their hunts really well. "We are organized, strategic, methodical," so are the lions, the wolves, the dholes, the hyenas, frickin' ants and termites who wage their own wars on one another... I'm not kidding lol. You can't say we are "the best" because that's an opinion. Yes, we can easily destroy a pack of any of these things with out armies, no denying that but it doesn't make us "the best" because seriously, what would that achieve? It won't benefit us naturally in anyway and would just be a pointless destruction. Like we haven't done enough anyway.

-That's just me, but I really like fuel-based machines.

While these machines are really useful, they are screwing us up so badly in the long run. Our pollution is turning against us and this could affect our survival. There are some really polluted areas in China where people have to wear masks when going out. I hear that there are future plans to actually minimalize fuel based machines. In Arabia they are working on a "carbon free" city which will be called Masdar. It will be COMPLETELY car free and travel will be done through electric trains or other transports. Solar power and alternatives are gonna be our future because fuel based cars cause too much damage. Let's be reasonable here, Earth is really our only home and space travel is in it's infancy... no, it's in the fetus stage still. So we better be careful.

Good point, but what you've quoted here comes from natural disasters. The sun is not a living thing now is it ? :D . We can't control mother nature fully yet, but I wouldn't be surpised if we could someday.

I agree I went a bit far by saying "the strongest of the galaxy", ... But imagine if that was true ? The Universe being nearly infinite (In fact I'm sure it is probably not.) , I can be as right as wrong. Future will eventually tell.

I agree 100%, we are way too much of a divided specie. If we could work together as a single nation (TERRAN UNION, IMPERIAL GUARD AHUEHUEHUE AND HELL, Even the guards are sometimes in disagreement with the Space Marines, causing wars ... XD), we'd build a better future for our species.

However, about death, I'm 100% sure about this fact as I studied it in science, and I remember reading and watching a lot of documentaries about this, this is among the things that make humanity an unique civilization. We're aware of ourselves, animals aren't (however, there's indeed exceptions. For example, there was this little experiment back then made by an American scientist if I recall correctly, he noticed that by putting a huge mirror in front of an elephant, the beast recognized itself and tried to walk away from it. :D). We have a CONSCIENCE.

About Team Work, animals may work together, but they can't really build any "strategy". Man, come on, have you already seen tigers going like "TAKE COVER ..." "ATTACK THIS FLANK !" ... "STEP BACK, STEP BACK COMRADES ! " "FIRE IN THE HOLE " ...
They follow their instinct and work with their fellows not because they need to, but because it's NATURAL for them to do so. They do not really have any intelligible objectives ... Here again, by fighting against ourselves, we just show how much we do not respect any natural laws : Because, is it natural for a human to kill his fellows ? It is not.
That may wrong, or right, but that shows an objective aspect of our intelligence. Being intelligent doesn't necessarily make you a good person according to our ethics (LOL BLISS.)

We remain the most organized. XD

AAh... Now, onto fighting doctrines. That will be plagiarism from Warhammer, but allow me to say, provided that it's true even in the real world , that past centuries have shown that humans are amazing at something : WARS.

That's what make us, again, better. We do not evolve because (or thanks to) of the environment, we MAKE the Environment evolve. We build our own world, build our own strategies, our own ethics, our own laws ... We deny the "given natural", as I may call it. And we are the best at it. Let's take a look at the proper definition of war :
A state of competition or hostility between different people or groups: . War is basically the complete destruction of the opposition, and, through destruction, fighting is something we're the best at, at least on our planet. That's a fact.
Maybe I worded it wrong, but what I meant is that WE'RE THE BEST AT WARS, not THE BEST BECAUSE WE WIN WARS. See the difference ?
Indeed, being amazing as destructing things doesn't make us an amazing species, but that doesn't make us less good at it.

And about pollution... One answer : Let's find other planets to colonize !

Also, I forgot : About my previous comment :

The Imperial Guard also developed their own version of the Ion Cannon starcraft.wikia.com/wiki/Ion_C… ... Because of how powerful the weapon is, they baptized it the "TITAN OF THE EMPEROR". : strategywiki.org/wiki/Warhamme…

Needless to say ... This thing is just ENORMOUS and has weapons that would decimate an entire planet : wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Emper… ...

You know the necron monolith ? warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Mo… ... As a matter of fact, the weapon of the Titan literally ONE SHOT it.

I love how they don't know it needs human operators and still think it's the machine spirit. XD

In Warhammer 40k robots and AI is banned. So they no doubt use primitive computer systems again LOL! And the robots need permanent human drivers I think.

I guess it's true that natural disasters aren't living things but they surely are more powerful. XDD

I am not sure about controling the sun entirely, but I won't be surprised if we find ways to divert solar flares by using electromagnetic shields. I also wouldn't be surprised if we find ways to manipulate the weather. Imagine making the days sunny whenever we felt like it. XD We should be careful with that technology though LOL!

You said strongest in the universe. It's true that we may never know for sure if it's infinite or not, and even if it has an edge... what's beyond? XDD Maybe it's matter that really has an edge but the "universe" goes even beyond to all that nothingness and beyond? That's something far beyond us at the moment lol. But the things we have learned about space are AMAZING.

I agree, if we united like the Terran Union, we would accomplish so freaking much dude! Imagine spending our funds on space travel and medical/scientific advancements instead of wars? If we discover other intelligent life, only then should we spend tons of funds on weaponry you know, just in case. XDD Because like animals, aliens don't think like humans so reasoning with them would be difficult...

Human: Greetings, we wish to pass on these terms to mining rights on this asteroid because one of our clients discovered it.

Alien: -/-:';_-?

Human: I'm sorry sir. We seem to be having a difficulty communicating. What I am trying to say is *gets disintegrated*

Hunt: That is violence against humans! *rocket spams alien*

There are several animals who can recognize themselves. XD

I remember watching a docummentary of chimps recognizing themselves. The seeonteest :-DDD will ask a kid to look at themselves on a mirror, then he will paint a colour on their forehead or cheek and ask them to look again. The kid would poke himself pointing at the yellow dot on his face. Chimps and elephants did this too. XD

Dude, chimps also check out their balls on the mirror, I read this somewhere LOOL!! Reminds me of Johnny Bravo... "WHOA MOMMA! The ladies will love this!"

It's true that animals follow instincts. But communication comes into great play. They use body language which is their version of: "TARGET IN SIGHT!" "Codename Stripe visible, taking position" "roger that tango one, alpha six two, codename stripe is on the move, I repeat, codename stripe is on the move" "understood command, taking chase positions" "on my mark" "CODENAME STRIPE IS ON THE RUN, I REPEAT, STRIPE IS ON THE RUN!" "SHIT, EVERYBODY MOVE, MOVE, MOVE!" "Tango Alpha Five caught stripe! Stripe is wounded, I repeat, STRIPE IS WOUNDED!" "Stripe is down, good work team. We shall eat well."

While it's true that it's instinctual. Another way to tell is that if you take a dog from England and take him to Spain, he can speak with the dogs over there but a human.... "Hello sir, do you know where I can--" "QUE PASA?" dude, by natural standards we are a dolanized species LOL!

It's true about ethics as you used the Bliss example lol. In a way, that can make us worse. Hyenas eat buffallo alive but do they know the pain they cause? But humans fully know the pain that they cause yet some still torture animals and humans alike. (bles pls)

We are indeed the best at wars on this planet. That can't be denied. XD We also change the environment to fit us and so do ants and termites in their own little ways. It's amazing how similar to ants we can be sometimes. Think of cities like human hives (Warhammer 40k Hive Words LOL!) did you know ants also farm fungi? (ROFL all my past fungi jokes aside, that is true. XD) I thought we were the only ones who practices agriculture but then ants come along and "WE FERM FUNGI :----DDDDD"

Another thing ants and humans have in common is slavery. Yes you read that right lol. Ants are known to attack other hives (war pls) and take their ants as prisoners to do work for them. There is a species of ants that can't work by itself and relies only on slaves. It's true that ants are very different from us biologically but that doesn't make them any less amazing and brutal. XD They use pheromones and chemicals to communicate. Did you know that pheromones influence humans as well? Our armpits emmit these LOL and I read that pheromones from a man's armpit can change a woman's period from irregular to regular or something along those lines. I'm not too sure. But it was interesting to learn that. Ants take these things to a hole new level. They control their slaves whith chemicals.

The difference between ant and human slavery is the fact that ants aren't particularly cruel to their slaves. They just make them work with chemistry. While humans forcing other humans to work is brutal sometimes and the fact that we KNOW the pain we cause is even more cruel while an ant doesn't know.

Imagine the ants in this video using human military jargon as they wage war LOL!

"Tango Red in position....."

"Roger Tango Red, Alpha Six move out!"

www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5Yaih…

Dude, the narrator is so dramatic. XD Also the way he says "raiding party" makes me think of pirates or vikings.

They indeed are since they created us,  BUT HELL, WE CREATED GOD ! AHUEHUEHEUHUE *insert religion drama here*

We couldn't control it entirely but we sure could protect ourselves from it, heard of that NASA project about building sun shields throughout space to prevent solar eruptions ? That'd be so freaking amazing. Now, imagine if we could develop planet-sized shields ...

As for the Universe, we may never know if it is truly infinite.

And I can only dream of this ... Space travels, colonization, wars ... :-DDDDDDDDDDDD. But I'll have to disagree again for language : We studied in philosophy class that the fact that we use language actually proves how aware we are of ourselves, and that's another mark of superiority :-DDDDDDDDDD. DATS VIOLENESNE AGAISNT HUMIOINS ... :iconmarkosplz:

And these sentences ... Reminds me of nearly any sci fi games I played LMAO... Terrans Marines ... USCM MARINES ... Imperial guard soldiers ... Space Marines ... HECU GRUNTS ... XD HEEUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. But I admit you made a point. XD

And about ethics, that's true again, but it really depends on the individual : What makes pain wrong ? Our ethics :D

And I knew all this about ants ... AND THEY ALSO FARM FUNGI DID YOU SAY ?!! :-DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD feet pls

Okay, another thing I wanted to speak : I kind of like predators actually. Want to know why ?

They're actually the best species us humans could compete with... They use technology like we do, they hunt like WE DO, they conquer space like WE DO ... It sounds like Predators are actually a more "monstrous" version of humans ... See what I mean ?
You'd think we are so different, and yet so similar ... Either would we compare Predators to the USCM, the HECU, Terrans, or even to the Imperial Guard, I could find so many similarities ...
1 : We both show a lot of pride and love for our own species
2 : As I said, we both hunt.
3 : We are war addicts ...

HOWEVER, there is A strong difference between us two : Whereas Humans try to DOMINATE and to establish a SUPERIORITY over their enemies, Predators always seek for a FAIR fight (Predators would never harm a baby nor would they harm a child, humans would.). In a way, humans can be even more monstrous. Now of course, provided that Predators are in "hunt" mode, and not in the "TOTAL WAR" mode ... See what I mean

But I'm excited when I think about how it'd go if a total war between the Imperial Guard/Terrans and predators/Predacats happened ... I must admit that our infantry would get decimated (we may have epic guns, armors, we may be GOOD against other species, but predator's infantry ... Oh god. I admit we wouldn't stand a chance LOL.) . As I remember you telling me, I shouldn't act like "HUMANS ARE SUPERMEN"... We are only humans, despite cloud-3.steampowered.com/ugc/7… AUTOGUNS AND SANDBAGS :--DDDDDD More seriously :

Yes, only humans, ... But, as HUNT would say ... Or as you'd hear during a regular fight ...

TELL OUR MEN THE CAVALRY IS HERE ! media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/… ... mediawonder.com/gallery/albums… ... ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I… ... And don't even get me started on ... i.chzbgr.com/maxW500/357040998… ...

Oh, did I tell you about our aviation and the Imperial Guard's super heavy bombers yet ?

And this just to talk about the Guard, don't even get me started on the Terrans and their battlecruiser ... XD.

However, knowing how smart predators are, I KNOW THEY wouldn't stand against a threat they have no chance against, and they'd probably try to walk away from tanks and artillery the best they can, or just directly target the tankist instead of the tank itself ... By taking him out of his vehicle for example .

Anyway I'd really love to see this

Sunshields would be epix to see planetsized. :D

We studied in philosophy class that the fact that we use language actually proves how aware we are of ourselves, and that's another mark of superiority :-DDDDDDDDDD. DATS VIOLENESNE AGAISNT HUMIOINS ...

I actually remember scientists talking about discovering a "language gene" and also there is a bone in our throat that helps formulate sounds which paves the way for languages. Earlier humans had different types and we debate whether or not they had languages. Animals communicate with all sorts of ways but they don't have the gene or the bone that allows proper human like speech. But the fact that dolphins have a language of sorts and even use names they respond to is starting to show that more animals are aware of themselves. :---DDD We will never really know how aware animals are of themselves. They are aware enough instinctually to try and survive. XD We are just dolanized when it comes to nature LOL! But some animals go against instinct. Yes, some animals do commit suicide. I know this from personal experience too. And speaking of instincts dude, humans are very instinctually driven most of the times too. Don't forget we have the urge to sleep, eat, drink and why do you think we like borno so much? :---DDD It's our instinct to letz secks :--DDD But we can try and override this. As much as we like to pride ourselves in awareness, alot of us is highly driven by chemicals and instincts or else drugs wouldn't affect us at all.

True about it depending on the individual. :D Also from the ethical point of view, that also differs between cultures and individuals too. One side will think "dat iz veeolens agenst phiilgs" when they see you cut off a pig's head just to eat it while they electrocute the brain instead. But then again, it doesn't disprove the fact that we are empathetic and can assume different points of views but only within our own understandings of points of views. :D (I am curious as to how scientists can say dogs see mostly in black and white though? They must have studied their eyes and compared it to ours.)

Dude.... this is EXACTLY why I like Predators too ROFL! I was always a fan of "counterparts" or there just being another version. When I was playing the old Spider-Man games as a kid on PS1. I used to love pretending I was secretly being chased or stalked by an evil version of Spider-Man LOL! I grew up being a fan of this concept. So imagine when I saw a "Red Hulk" appears to fight Hulk in Marvel comics LOL!

This is the same for Predators, they are similar to us in many ways.

LMAO war addicts. It reminds me of "Predator: Cold War" where they come to hunt in Russia. Someone literally said they are here "playing war games with us" ROFL!

We aren't too sure how Predators think because like we talked about animals, they aren't humans. :p They have ethics and self-awareness but they are still *Space Marine voice* XENO SCUM!!!

One fan said that imagine a Predator was hungry during a hunt and had no food? He may not kill kids or babies because it's not "sporty" and to provide for future hunts. But would he kill them for food? That was an interesting question. Also Predators have "Bad Bloods" which are their criminals and serial killers. One clan is dedicated just to killing and not hunting. They tamed Xenomorphs to help them. The Hunter clan was at war with the Killer clan lol.

Also I remember telling you that they accepted one human among their ranks. DUDE I NEED TO WRITE A STORY about Predacats doing this... that would be epic. ROFL this human meeting Night-Blood would be funny as hell. XDD

A war between these two would be so epic and brutal. When I first read their military weaponry I was like "DAMN" lol! In AVP Extinction, I think for gameplay reasons it was sort of balanced. The humans would stand some chances but it would piss players off if 2 Predators could kill 3898249832 humans for example. XDD But the way the weapons were described. One weapon fires beams "hotter than the cores of most stars" I was like "DA FUQ" LOL! And one of their plasma missile cannons when upgraded can split in mid air and hit up to six targets. Now both of these weapons are shoulder mounted and with upgrade, they are added on two shoulders.... two killer star beams and two splitting plasma missiles which at double hit eight targets ahuehuehuehuehue and that is just one Predator, now imagine an army. XDD

This is why I see Predacats not as a dominating conqueror (Xinra pls) but as universal balancers.

I really love the comics where Predators hunt during a war. Like that WW1 comic I showed you of a Predator jumping on a tank and trying to rip the steel off (it sort of bends the steel with its bare hands) but the tank exploded ROFL!

And the other where it cut through the tank with its weaponry and killed the crew. It makes sense for their blades to do that because they can "cut through steel like butter" by human hands, so far stronger Predator hands should be able to cut through some tank armour. Unless Leviathan or Baneblade ples.

Predators are smart but some would be willing to sacrifice themselves and blow up the tank for honor. XD

Also don't forget - static.comicvine.com/uploads/o…

The Predators actually arm themselves accordingly with what they are hunting. It's a bit funny that a Predator in the first film went to hunt our special forces guys with ahnuld and only came with a shoulder cannon and blades... ROFL just those two weapons! Cocky much? XDDD

Predator: U SUK I BRENG MAI BLEDS ND GUN :---DDD

Arnold: FAK U I DRAP TRE UN U :--DDDD

Predator: FUG :---DDDD

Epic indeed.

I remember studying it during science class as well ! It's indeed amazing to see how a gene is able to make us speak ... Note that I never said humans denies anything natural, but maybe is it natural for us to try to over ride mother nature ? See what I did there ? :-DD

Human is a culture being, so that is very true. About dogs, I've studied it too (YEAH BEING IN A SCIENCE MAJOR CURSUS ROCKS ! XD) , they established it from multi-genic families : Dog and cat's eyes are only dichromatic, which means they can only see black and white waves refracted on the photoreceptors. So yeah, they basically made genetic and eye studies :D

Predator Cold War ? WHAT THE FUCK ? COMMUNIST PREDATORS ? LOL XD

Since you brought your childhood, thought it'd be interesting for you to know where my huge passion for humanity comes from ... And I'll finally let you know. (although it doesn't ENTIRELY result from this, but it still had a great influence on my choice !)
What I'll say will probably be the dumbest thing you have ever read... Maybe, maybe not, but I can tell you it's the cold truth LOL.

Anyway, onto the story :

My first PC games were StarCraft, Aliens vs Predator (1) and Half-Life. Back then, I used to LOVE playing those on my good old Win 98 SE PC  (I was like 5-6 or so ...) ... Believe it or not, but back then, I used to love playing as monsters , and especially as the Predator when playing AVP because I found their invisibility thing so fucking badass... So I kept playing, going through the first levels in which you fought many marines throughout an entire base ... That until, the third level came... And marines went like

"FU FU FUF UF FU FUF UF PREDATORO IZ STILL NTO DED XDDDDDD ND ALOINS HAVE SESCAPED DER CAEGSS S WAT DO WE DO ANAOO :--DDDDDDDDDDDDDD XDDDDDDDDDDDD" *gets beheaded*

I went like "OH MY GOD , NEW THREAT TO DEFEAT !"

... And... I got facehugged. And that was the traumatism of my life LMFAO. Seriously, facehuggers scared the shit out of me, to the point where I couldn't even play the game anymore ... I literally DREAMED of that noise, that pc screen showing the creepy spider taking all the space ... I was too damn scared... When they catch you it sounds like some weird screamer ... Really really creepy ...

Needless to say that the same happened when I had tried the marine campaign several months after.

...

A few years later, I decided to try the game again, since I love it too damn much to give it up over some retarded fear , and I reached the level the facehuggers are in, once more. But that nervousness came back ... (I was playing the marine campaign BTW) ... But ... I just stopped and fought back my irrational creep by thinking... Yes, I thought and took a look at the character I was playing as :

-A powerful soldier, with a flamethrower, a helmet, an armor, a movement sensor, a Pulse Rifle  and a Smart Gun...

I went like "NO. REAL MEN FEAR NOTHING" And I rushed into the room with the facehuggers like "THIIS ISSSS SPARTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" ... And for the first time ever, I had killed that little creature which kept bugging me for the past years ... And the MARINE WAS THE SPECIES I OVERCAME MY FEAR WITH.

Mind you, that is just ridiculous and as a youth, I tend to be scared of a lot of stupid things (but just like many people ...) and maybe playing those games at such a young age wasn't a great idea either, but since that day, whenever in real life or not, I always see humans as something which comfort me ... as allies, as my protectors ... AS HEROES. When you see creepy monsters everywhere, you have no idea how good it feels to meet with some of your fellows ... XD (That's even truer with scary games such as Ghoul's Forest 3 [[ zdoom.org/wiki/The_Ghoul's_For… ]] : www.youtube.com/watch?v=JUoZE6… in this video, you see those scary ghouls being defeated by ... US, HUMANS, MARINES ... "I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'VE BEEN TOLD,JOE MC CARTHY IS GOOD AS GOLD !!"

Since that day, I literally worshipped the USCM and any human army ... XD. And I became (not to be some selfish asshole) an amazing AVP , starcraft and Dawn of War player :D (as the humans of course.) And I kept crushing any kind of non-human being under the track of my tanks ! MWAHAHWHAWHAHWHAHWHAHWHAHWAHWHAHWA. It makes me feel like that I'm not alone in this fight, that my species is more powerful than I thought it was !

Back to the topic : I really would like to know a bit more about Predator, if only we could study them... Sadly, humans always fail to capture them, and even if they succeed in, they always manage to escape XD. You indeed told me about this, and it even happened in the movie ! :D

Humans could totally kill 5463874687468746874 predators too ... Dude, when I saw the Titan, I just have no idea yet of how destructive we can be LMAO. I just wish the Predators could hunt during a Terrans vs Protoss war LMAO or during a Imperial Guard vs Orks wars ... Why do they hunt during wars ? It's kind of risky, but I guess risk is part of their game XD.

But, what happens when they're not HUNTING ... Y'know, when they're FIGHTING for real ?! I WANT TO SEE THIS !

Thanks for explaining that. I had a feeling they studied the eyes of dogs and cats. XD Scientists say that it's also mostly nocturnal animals who see mainly black and white because you don't really need to see color at night.

Predators went to hunt both Americans and Russians. XDD They had some epic traps in the comic as well.

Dude, since you shared your traumatic Facehugger moment, time to share my part LOL! Although this isn't AVP related, but it's still a classic old game. XD

You know Dino Crisis? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dino_Cri…

I was playing the demo of this game, as a kid I was a HUUUUUUUGE fan of dinosaurs. So playing this game was fun. It's like Resident Evil only without zombies but dinosaurs. I remember the Raptors taking forever to die from hand guns. XD

So yeah, as if they weren't scary enough. I rather avoided them than fought them. But there was this one level... from 1:07 onwards - www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2zzqz…

Dude, the only difference is that when I ran to the end towards the door, I had no idea what to do and just stood at the corner until the bastard ate me. The whole screen went red and a shit ton of blood came out. I turned off my PS1 and went to my room with my heart beating like fuck and my face all sweaty LMAO!

Also the old PS1 Resident Evil games made me scared as fuck of the zombies. The noises they made used to scare me. The way they moved.

As for the AVP games. I only got and played the 2010 game. To be honest, the Facehuggers scare me only during the Marine missions LOL! They take away 1 bar of health and I get nervous because you only get 3. While the Predator especially on easy hardly gets scratched by them ROFL!

Dude seriously, during AVP when I play as the Alien, I feel all sneaky and not scared of anything. When I play as the human, I am nervous because danger is all around me and I feel so weak. But when I play the Predator... nothing can fucking hide from me LOL! I guess we both feel that our specific species make us feel unstoppable and they are like our guardian angels. XDD

Thinking back to that Dino Crisis video... everytime I saw a huge dinosaur in a video game. I almost crapped myself. I remember playing "Dino Stalker" (LOL stlk ples) on PS2. It was an epic arcade like shooter. But the moment the first boss shows up... sorry, BOSSES* two HUGE dinosaurs. I screamed and passed my controller to my dad ROFL! Now I'm not scared of them but huge dinosaurs still unnerve me. Especially this unstoppable FUCK overe here at 0:43 - www.youtube.com/watch?v=GkbVMU…

Your guns are useless against him and all you can do is piss it off and slow it down. XD At least in Dino Crisis you could try and outrun them but this one just walks faster than you run LOL!

As for Predators. I loved "Predator Captive" XD The twist in the end made me so happy as the Predator left its cell anytime it wanted too and was pretending to be captive. XDD I like the idea of some getting captured and then others coming to rescue them or they escape and kill the seeonteests. :--DDD

They hunt during wars because it provides lot of dangerous prey to hunt. War is the best time. :D

That's probably a scary thought to imagine and I would love to see them at war. I remember a human saying in one of the comics "we are lucky they only wish to hunt us and not conquer us."

No problem !

LOL, I am seriously wondering how they reacted to this ... Omg !

RUSSIAN : SOME CAPITALIST FUCKERY, AGAIN. XDDDD

About DINO CRISIS, THAT WOMAN IS HOT :-DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD. Seriously, I heard of it and I think I even played it once on an emulator but I didn't really like it ...

And I ROFLED hard at how you got scared LMFAO... That's exactly what I did when I saw the facehugger facehugging my face LMAo the whole screen showed the beast humping my face ...

However Resident Evil never scared me, this game actually always amused me ROFL www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOzFDY… That video sums everything up ... XD

XDD

When I play as the Human now ... I FEEL all sneaky and not scared of anything, and NOTHING CAN FUCKING HIDE FROM ME. ROFLMAO. I remember once in a multiplayer game, I was so furious, I literally killed 2 predator and one alien players on my own with a minigun, one of them went like "That's one furious marine ..." ... YOU HAVE NO IDEA MATE.

And LMAO WHAT IS SO SCARY ABOUT DINOSAURS ? XD I don't get it LOL. I used to love them V-REX I just wished you could play as him ... Don't worry I've finished the game, I know how hard he is to beat... LMAO I used to run at it just so he can crush me because I found it amusing ...
But I once tried , with cheat codes, to spam the hell out of him with the machine gun, didn't work. XD

About Pred Captives, that actually was the main point of the mission the facehugger first appeared in LMAO You were inside a huge human base you infiltered... But then everything went nuts. What I love is that there's a bonus marine mission in which you're back into that area once more, but this time as a human who tries to escape and call in for reinforcement, and you actually kill the predator you used to play as ... It's like another perspective, I really love this XD.

I just wish to read or even see the Imperial Guard, Terrans or EVEN THE USCM aggressing the hell out of a predator spaceship, but so violently to the point they'd want to conquer us ... LMAO.

"Humanity is one of the rare race that can actually have FEELING" Many, probably most, mammals have been SHOWN to display emotion and conscious feeling, it is one of the most central parts of the fundamental mammal brain.
"We're probably the only specie that left their natal planet to go to space." Actually, bacteria may have been in space billions of years before us...
"We always evolve, progress and our technology keeps getting better and better" same for everything else.
"Our fighting doctrines are just the best ... I mean, seriously, compare a war happening between a tiger and a zebra, with OUR wars. We are organized, strategic, methodical. Regiments, divisions, tanks, generals ..." Yes we kill so many more people, what a great achievement. War is so wonderful.
"We're the only ones knowing what death is and that we're all going to die." that's honestly not that great. We all know we're screwed, not very fun or useful :P
"We know what teamwork stands for." *cougheverypackhuntinganimalevercough* Gosh everything from Velociraptor to wolves and tigers knows there is benefit in group hunting strategies.
"That's just me, but I really like fuel-based machines" Yup because polluting the air and crushing the ground is just really great isn't it.
"Despite our weak physical abilities, our remarkable intelligence allow us to overcome these weaknesses through technology." what kind of a good point is that? Other animals dont even have to make technology they were already as good as us from the start ^^; Besides look how long, say, cockroaches have lasted compared to more "intelligent" and humanlike animals such as Diplodocus or the dodo, or the mammoth. Intelligence isnt that great really. If anything is, its being an insect :P

Okay, from where should I start

-You're not denying my facts but rather "judging" them with your subjective view. I was stating facts, I wasn't telling how bad/good they could be. So I wonder how you even proved me wrong, provided that's what you intended.

Good example : "Our fighting doctrines are just the best ... I mean, seriously, compare a war happening between a tiger and a zebra, with OUR wars. We are organized, strategic, methodical. Regiments, divisions, tanks, generals ..." Yes we kill so many more people, what a great achievement. War is so wonderful.

Wonderful or not, that is a fact (and you yourself admitted it, so you proved me right instead of proving me wrong).

- As for Intelligence : Shall I remind you what Aristotle stated (You may disagree with him, but allow me to express myself nevertheless. ) : Humans appear to be one of the weakest species (we have no hairs, no claws, no clothes ... We're defenseless. ), but we have the most powerful tool ever made by mother nature : THE HAND. . This tool is basically a "tool of tool" therefore explicitly shows that our explicit "weaknesses" hide an implicit versatility. Can animals CHOOSE their weapons ? Can they CHOOSE their "clothes" ? No, they can't, because they're simply directly based on nature, and ONLY on it, whereas humans define themselves by their denial of natural conditions. We can fly , although we were not supposed to. We can swim , although we were not supposed to (through learning and education)... Humankind as a whole is defined by its culture.

Example :

If we follow Natural doctrines : a bear is stronger than a man. Yes, it is true.

Now, what if the man is a heavily armed soldier ? Let's see what happens. The tide has turned.

what kind of a good point is that? Other animals don't even have to make technology they were already as good as us from the start => INVALID.

-Our denial goes through this "fuel-based" machinery. But hey, we're not ONLY using fuel, what with nuclear fusions, electricity, geothermic energy ... ?

- "We always evolve, progress and our technology keeps getting better and better" same for everything else. <:I>

Prove it. Nowadays beavers work the same way they did 1 thousand years ago, their dams remain the same. Could we say the same about our infrastructures ? I beg to differ for humans.

- Many, probably most, mammals have been SHOWN to display emotion and conscious feeling, it is one of the most central parts of the fundamental mammal brain.

Prove it, how can you tell ? Do you even think like them ? Can you read their minds ?

*cougheverypackhuntinganimalevercough* Gosh everything from Velociraptor to wolves and tigers knows there is benefit in group hunting strategies.

LOOOL. Throw some piece of meat right in the middle of the scene, and see how solidary they are.

</sarcasm>  *look at humans* oh wait

What is so great about being strong and killing people, I don't get it? You're first 2 points rely on it.
Wouldn't the best species be the one that can survive without annihiliating everything around it? If you are really good at killing and kill everything, then what is left to consume? Keep in mind we have only been around in our present form for 200,000 years, a short time by species standards, and we've already managed to endanger 30% of animals and mess up the climate.

So we are better at killing, but other animals are better at, say, seeing ultraviolet, hiding in small places, moving at high speeds without polluting the air. And something other animals are usually outstandingly better at is NOT killing when they don't need to. I mean we have killed millions over CONCEPTS like countries, religion and money, stuff that doesn't even exist. Our lack of control is pathetic, and our imagination and technology has gone too far in the wrong direction in my view. We don't build, we don't fill a role in the natural environment, we just destroy.

Other animals evolve and progress, not through technology but through natural selection. Same thing it just takes longer. And dolphins actually do progress without natural selection, they have been seen developing new hunting techniques just through their own skill and then passing those skills on by teaching their offspring.

By that logic I don't know if you feel emotion or not. Prove that you have emotion and are not just mimicing it.
But when animals linger around the bodies of dead relatives not moving for days, or get excited when they see an individual they recognise, or teach others skills without gaining a reward, that seems like emotion to me.

Humans fight over dead meat too, on a global scale nowadays though (part of the world starves because they've come out on the bottom). But give those animals a large live prey animal to hunt and they will work together to bring it down. They know they have to work together to do it, and they know how to, just as well as we do. Probably better.

"Feelings. Humanity is one of the rare race that can actually have FEELING and think about the CONSEQUENCES of an action."

Dolphins do this.

"We're the only ones knowing what death is and that we're all going to die."

Elephants do this.

"We always evolve, progress and our technology keeps getting better and better
."

You're not looking at life's big picture...

"We know what teamwork stands for.
We are organized, strategic, methodical"

Chimpanzees
Orcas
Dolphins again
African wild dogs... all do this.

I'm no less of a furry hater than you, but I also don't over-look the traits of animals they have in common with us. And to say that all animals lack these traits is rather ignorant if you haven't actually done animal research other than what human religion has to offer you, because as glorious as it is religion is incredibly one-sided.  Pretend there is a race of human with black skin, stands up-right, communicates through grunts and groans, never went as far as the stick and rock for tools, sleeps in trees, and when you try to teach them to speak english they pop a turd in their hands and fling it at you. But when one of their own dies, they mourn. It's like looking at something like that at saying it's not human because they decide not to build, worship a God, and they can't talk to you, they're not human.
I'm glad you like being you, but we're not the only ones with traits like what you've mentioned above.
